Coming from the southwest of Madagascar, this sphere of striped jasper is the result of patient work between nature and human hands. Successive deposits of silica, impregnated with iron oxides, have created bands in shades of beige, gray, and ochre, renowned for the clarity and richness of their contrasts.
- Weight : 7.6 kg
- Dimensions : Ø 18 cm, total height with base 25.5 cm
- Material : Natural striped jasper, black metal and brass base
- Color : Shades of gray, beige and ochre
- Unique piece : Yes
- Origin : Madagascar
- Use : Indoor only
Carved from the mass and carefully polished, it reveals, depending on the angle, concentric strata and sometimes the appearance of a mineral "eye", like an image offered by the stone itself to the observer. A true geological curiosity, each detail underlines the power of time and the natural precision of the sediments.
The sphere rests on a black metal base, enhanced by a shiny brass mount, which balances its mineral presence and gives it a decorative dimension. It stands out as an object for a cabinet of curiosities, capable of dialoguing as much with a classic library as with a minimalist contemporary interior.
Ideal as a centerpiece on a console table, in a bookcase, or on a desk. Its mineral character echoes collectibles and decorative compositions inspired by cabinets of curiosities.
